History

■ April, 2005 Established as a biopharmaceutical company that targets kinase inhibitors

■ May, 2005 Started collaborating research with Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU). Set up a research laboratory in TMDU.

■ October, 2005 Obtained funding from New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).

■ March, 2007 The anti-DNA virus infection project received a grant from JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency). 

■ August, 2009 The patent for the antiviral project was granted in the US.

■ December, 2009 Obtained JST A-STEP grant (Title: Development of therapeutic drugs for early onset Alzheimer’s disease of patients of Down Syndrome).

■ February, 2011 Entered into a research collaboration with Carna Bioscience Inc, (Kobe City) in the field of therapeutic drug of neurodegenerative diseases

■ March, 2011 The company moved its research facilities to Kyoto/Kobe. Its administrative function remained in Tokyo.

■ April, 2011 Signed research collaboration agreement with Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine.

■ April, 2012 The term of the JST’s development program on the DNA virus inhibitor was extended to cover the pre-clinical research. The company commenced the CMC and preclinical studies of RKP00156.

■ July, 2016 Published a results regarding the effect of an anti-virus agent on type B hepatitis in the Antiviral Research.

■ August, 2016 Published a results regarding the effect of an anti-virus agent on type B hepatitis in the Antiviral Research.

■ Feburuary, 2017 Obtained funding from New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) for Epidemic Keratoconjunctivitis (EKC), Ophthalmic drug formulation.

■ July, 2017 Established our Exploratory Research Laboratory at the "Innovation Hub Kyoto", an open-innovation facility of Kyoto University.
